Where champions are born

Camps

We host different camp or practice sessions throughout the year.  We will start by getting to know you and your experience level.  We will evaluate your current abilities and discuss your goals.  We take each athlete through a warm-up which teaches proper running mechanics, pole carry, and plant.  Once the athlete is ready, we will transition to jumping into the pit.  We start with a short run and progress back to a long run when you are ready.  Our goal is to teach you the proper technique and build consistency so that you can perform your best each competition.

New to pole vault?
Our team of coaches are experts at teaching beginners how to pole vault.  We gladly help athletes take their first vault and are experienced in teaching the proper technique so that they are safe.  We teach new athletes every year that learn the technique and progress very quickly to perform at the best of their ability.

Fall/Winter

We offer pole vault practices that start in the fall and go until the start of the high school season.  Athletes will have the same coaches every session to ensure consistency in their technical development.  Since the pole vault is such a technical event, it requires thousands of repetitions to develop the proper technique.  With this in mind, we encourage athletes to sign up for as many sessions as possible so they can work to build the technical foundation required to pole vault at a high level during the short Minnesota track season.

Summer
We host weekly pole vault practices during the summer to help athletes continue to improve and build the technical foundation for next season.

11.13.2021
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic we have made the difficult choice to not offer practice sessions this winter.  This was a tough choice but to keep everyone safe in an indoor environment where athletes are often traveling across the state or from other states we believe this is the right choice to make.  Stay safe and hope for a spring track season!
